Vacuum Recovery Unit
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: VACUUM RECOVERY UNIT FOR ABRASIVE RECOVERY AND RECYCLING
The Vacuum Recovery System is an integral component of the abrasive recovery process, designed to extract spent abrasive, debris, and dust from the blasting room and transfer them to the Auto Dumper for automated handling.
How It Works
Within the blasting room, accumulated abrasive materials, foreign particles, and dust are drawn into the system using vacuum power. The materials are delivered to the Auto Dumper, where reusable abrasive is automatically discharged back to the conveyors or silos for re-circulation.
Abrasive Separation: A cyclone or drum separator spins the material to separate heavy, reusable abrasive from light dust and fines .
Dust Filtration: The remaining dust-laden air passes through a dust collector fitted with high-performance filters (such as cartridge filters or bag filters). The clean air is then exhausted, while the dust is collected for disposal.
Recycling: The clean, dry abrasive is deposited into a storage hopper or silo ready to be returned to the blast pot for immediate reuse
Key Components
- Cyclone – Separates dust from heavier abrasive particles
- Dust Collector – Filters fine dust from the air stream
- Roots Blower – Generates the vacuum power for material extraction
- Exhaust Silencer – Eliminates noise produced during air exhaustion
Operational Benefit
The system enables efficient, automated collection and return of reusable abrasive, minimizing manual clean-up and reducing material waste.
