Dust Recovery System

The Dust Recovery System is a centralized extraction unit designed to collect captured dust from multiple sources within large blast rooms—including the Room Dust Collector, Air Wash Dust Collector, and Vacuum Recovery System. By locating the system outside the shed, it prevents dust dispersion inside the machine room and ensures efficient, single-point dust handling that complies with environmental authority regulations.

Why a Centralized System?

In large blasting rooms, individual equipment does not discharge captured dust into carts or bins inside the room. Instead, all dust streams are connected to this external recovery system, which centralizes extraction and disposal—eliminating indoor contamination and simplifying dust management.

How It Works

A motor-driven Roots Blower creates suction within the system. Dust is transferred from the hopper of each connected machine into the Dust Recovery System and enters the Cyclone.

  • Cyclone (Primary Separation): Dust passes through the cyclone where heavier particles are filtered and deposited into a dust box located at the lower section. Any remaining fine dust not captured by the cyclone proceeds to the Dust Collector.
  • Dust Collector (Final Filtration): A set of cartridge filters separates the remaining dust from the air stream.
  • Exhaust Silencer: Clean air passes through the exhaust silencer, which releases the air while significantly reducing noise levels.

Key Components

  • Motor – Drives the Roots Blower to generate suction
  • Roots Blower – Creates the vacuum power for material transfer
  • Cyclone – Provides primary dust separation
  • Dust Collector – Performs final filtration via cartridge filters
  • Exhaust Silencer – Reduces noise during clean air release
